The Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), was established during the academic session 1996-97. The journey of academic excellence has brought various accolades to the institution including quality benchmarking by various agencies like National Board of Accreditation (NBA) of AICTE and ISO-9001 : 2000 certification by URS, UK etc. The institution has earned recognition for its high quality educational programmes and research activities in the field of engineering and technology. Objective and active teaching in the institution is facilitated by highly qualified and motivated faculty members of repute. The faculty members keep themselves abreast with the development in critical areas of education and research in science and technology across the globe. The institute subscribes to e-journals and indexed databases like EBSCO, Science Direct, SCOPUS through INDEST. Campus placement in ITER achieved a record with selection of 726 students in 2012 batch, the highest number selection by a single company (TCS) in an institution.
