Department of Microbiology provides microbiological diagnostic facilities to the SUM Hospital and also performs referral work for all service hospitals in Orissa. Immunology section provides support for diagnosis of infectious and auto immune diseases. Dept is also functioning on zonal HIV sub surveillance centre.
